Zane was on the verge of losing it. This man was insanely annoying! And he had the nerve to ask if one of them could massage his legs on the train? Who did this guy think he was? "Lets just get to the train, get to the town, and get this over with."

The man gave another smile, and patted both Katrina and Zane on the back as they walked to the train. "Yeah! Yeah! I really do like guys like you! Quick and to the point, you're handy do-it-fast man! I think you forgot to tell me your name? You're a little forgetful, I'll be sure to be helpful with that! You'll have no problems with Brent around! Did I say my name was Brent? I can't remember. We haven't exactly had a proper introduction with you not telling me your name and all." He continued to chat as they entered the train, now wrapping his arms around the two's necks. "We're going to be the best of friends! Right? I've never had friends before! Except at school of course, but the kids often ran away. I wonder why they did that?"
While Brent sat there contemplating his past, Katrina began to fiddle with her gloves as she restrained herself from throwing the clueless man out of the window of the train. 'I really... really hate this guy.' She grumbled to herself as she forced a quick sit down, pulling Zane next to her to avoid Brent sitting next to her.

Zane gritted his teeth as he sat down next to Katrina. This guy was going to die if he didn't shut up in the next 10 seconds. Zane's hand was already clutching his revolver. One shot. One shot and he'll be gone for good no more annoying idiot or headache.

As the man continued to talk, Katrina finally lost it. "SHUT UP!!! Shut up now! Just stay quiet for at least ten minutes! You're a horribly annoying person Brent, it's no wonder nobody ever wants to talk to you. Komui was probably trying to save us all a headache by killing you on those missions!" It was as if a bomb had exploded, and what followed after was the tension from the radiation. Katrina watched the scared finder with angry eyes as he shriveled to the back of his seat. "S-sorry... I've just never had people that would listen to me. I won't bother you again." Brent folded his arms over his chest, now staring at his feet to avoid conversation between the aggravated exorcists.

Zane was relieved that Brent had shut up, but he couldn't help but feel bad for him. He was annoying sure, but he wasn't a bad guy. "Brent, just try to keep the talking to a minimum. We mean no offence but the more you talk the more people will try to get away. Just speak a bit less."

"...You're so nice! You're very forgiving! I've never had forgiving friends before! Well, except that one dog... poor bobo. He was a very nice dog who... I'll stop now." Brent mustered an uneasy smile as he tried to keep himself calm. "I'm sorry." Katrina apologized quickly, seeing that she had done more damage to the man than she had meant. "I didn't mean to be that rude, generally I'm a nice person. You've just got to learn restraint when meeting other people, it'll reduce the chance of them creating death wishes for you." She explained, hoping to reason with the oddly hyper man. She wondered how this man even became a finder in the first place, and what the leaders were thinking when they didn't just kick him out.

Zane ignored the two after a bit and looked out of the window. He hadn't been to Russia in so long. Mostly because he wasn't fond of the peoples attitudes. Always gruff and edgy. Very few friendly faces, and almost everyone had a beard. It was annoying when you got there for weeks.

Hours passed, with Brent being somehow more bearable and Katrina sleeping with her face pressed against the cushion of her seat, and the train finally stopped. "We're here! I sure hope you guys brought jackets, otherwise we might have to snuggle! It's very cold here!" Brent exclaimed, shaking the sleeping exorcist from side to side. Katrina awoke to stare right into Brent's smiling face, only to give him a quick slap. "Space! Space! Not so close! What is it with you and invading everybody's personal space?! Give me some distance!" She yelled as the surprised finder fell back.
Barely hindered by Katrina's scolding, Brent began to poke at Zane. "We better get moving! Isn't it great? My legs didn't go numb! Now we won't have to massage them before we leave! You seem kinda stiff... do you need a massage?" The crazed finder offered, and Katrina shuddered, paralyzed with the wretched vision of Brent snuggling with her friend.

"No no no I'm fine." Zane said standing. "And the cold doesn't matter to me. As long as I am wearing my jacket I'm fine." He said yawning. He should have taken a nap. He could sure use one now. "Lets get going." He said getting off the train and looking around the snow covered landscape.

Brent and Katrina quickly followed, Katrina keeping close to Zane so that the strange finder didn't put his hands on her. Verkhoyansk lay before them, covered in snow as the streets had been neglected of their shoveling. The finder's trained eye scanned the village while they walked, eventually leading the way to the inn. "The last finders were supposed to meet at the inn, so we'll see what we'll find. Sound good to everyone?" He shouted over the snow, earning a nod from Katrina.
"What do you think, Zane? Should we start our search at the inn, or do you have another idea?" She asked, battling with the wind to be heard. The streets were practically empty, with only the glow from the occasional home to light the way. "It looks like this area is having financial issues, we may want to be careful..." Brent warned as he noticed the poorly shingled buildings.

"Yeah, the Inn sounds like the best place to start." Zane said stretching his arms above his head. The town had obviously seen better days. Every building was in disrepair and the town was dark and definitely a ghost. He doubted anyone would try to talk to them if they asked. They might have to do some searching of their own.

Brent led the way to the rusty inn, taking special care to brush the snow away from the barricaded door so that they could enter without dragging in a mound of snow. Katrina lingered outside for a while, her eyes aggravated as she scowled at the misspelled sign at the front. "Doesn't anybody care enough here to at least glue back on the letter? Maybe pencil in the missing vowel? It's no wonder they're having problems! They can't even bother to maintain some of the more important details of their buildings!" She stood there grumbling, only to be pulled inside by Brent who was quite eager to leave the cold behind for now.
"So! Shall we start asking around? I don't happen to have a written description of the ghosts, nor any pictures, but I'm sure somebody around here would have to know something. I mean, this all sounds pretty memorable to me, don't you think? What's on your mind, Zane, buddy old boy? Got a plan? I could ask around while you get something to eat! Have you had anything to eat? I didn't see you eat breakfast. Are you hungry? How are you feeling? Cold treating you well?" The excited finder started again with his flurry of questions, causing Katrina to give him a quick slap over his head. "Control yourself, we don't need something buzzing in our heads while we're thinking. I'm sure Zane has a plan." She reassured, and Brent gave another embarrassed smile before finding a good secluded table for the party to sit at.

Zane sighed. "Brent, you start and get us a room. We may be here a while. Katrina, start asking around about any strange occurances. I'll get us some food. I need something to qwench my hunger." He knew Brent wouldn't be trusted to talk to others, so Katrina was the best bet.

Giving a quick nod, Brent dashed away to set up rooms for the three of them. The innkeeper hardly listened to the man as he spoke, writing figures down in a booklet and handing keys to the eager finder without a word. Katrina began to ask about, earning several glares as people quickly packed their things and headed to their own individual rooms, not wanting to speak with the stranger about such touchy subjects. Those that stayed at their tables simply shook their heads, as they either couldn't understand English, or didn't want to associate with the curious girl.
In time, the wife of the innkeeper spoke up, having picked up a weak dialect of the English language. "People try to find the ghosts, and die. There is no good reason to look for trouble. Why must you talk about that here?" She said, pointing an accusing finger at Katrina. "We're exorcists, we want to find the cause of these 'ghosts'. We just want to help you." The small exorcist objected, only to be led to her seat. "If you really must know, you should see the Emsky manor. That's where the ghosts stay. People died there a while back, when the last exorcist came. Your kind isn't welcome, so be careful."
As the two spoke, a small boy entered the inn, dressed like a small gentleman. He didn't say a word to the innkeeper, but the man seemed to know what the child was here for, as he left the counter, returning with a few loafs of bread and a slab of meat. Most people kept their heads down as the boy began to leave after he had payed, but one promptly chucked an empty bottle at his head. "Murderer!" The man shouted, but the boy continued to leave, ignoring the rest of the stunned customers.

Now there were 3 things on Zane mind as he waited for Brent to return. One, innocence was definately a factor here. Especially if the sightings were true. Two, that boy was a lead to them. The townspeople were scared of him, leading Zane to suspect foul play. And third, the grilled chicken was overspiced. "Katrina, that boy seems like a lead."
